WIA is an ANSI-Accredited Standards Developer and the Secretariat for the Accredited Standards Committee O1 (ASC O1), the consensus body that works to develop standards for the safe design, installation and use of woodworking and accessory equipment, used in industrial and commercial applications, having a total connected power of 3.7kw (5hp) or greater, or having 3-phase wiring.
The ASC O1 is currently working on a revision of the ANSI O1.1 - Woodworking Machinery Safety Requirements (2013)(R2023) and seeking images of woodworking machinery to be used in the draft standard. Images will be converted to line drawings to remove any identifying information.
